About The Church

First Baptist Church of California City began as a mission church started by the First Baptist Church of North Edwards on December 8th, 1963. It was simply called the 'The California City Mission' and the first meetings were held in the Community Building. A few years later on June 19, 1966 the Mission broke ground on a new building locate at Lupine Loop Drive where the Church is now located. On July 21st, 1969 the members voted to incorporate into what is now known as the 'First Baptist Church of California City'.
